KOLKATA Ragging, a cruel word,
who suffered would never forget. But sometimes it is not just an experience but
might the last one for a life. Aindrila, a student of Dumdum Christ Church
School was one of the sufferer who died yesterday (11/09/2013) in a nursing home
in Kolkata. The guardians are showing grievance towards the school authority.
The principle is stuck to her office. Aindrila's family members have complained
that last Wednesday after school some senior students of same school trapped
her in a toilet. She screamed for help but none came to help. She became sick.
The safaiwala rescued her. Why did exactly they do it? As it said, these senior
students claimed Rs.- 100 from Aindrila, but when she denied the nonsense
activity made by them. She returned home but she couldn't forget the moments.
Parents forced her to go
to school next days and she became more ill. She was admitted to a private
hospital due to deteriorating conditions of her. But they could not keep
her alive. Family members filed charges against those students and they also complained
about the negligence of the nursing home.
This may seem a simple
report of an accident but the virus of the disease, ragging is still active
among the students. Seniority is like their license to harass someone brutally.
Is there any solution to stop this? Any end?
