Voges, Faulkner haul up Australiya get past 300-run mark

The “Men in Blue” failed to defend  300-plus total at the PCA Stadium here on Saturday. A heap of disappointment was in store for Indian team on Saturday as they face their second defeat against Australia in Mohali. Australia lead the series 2-1.

Still 47th over it seemed that Dhoni’s team bagged the match. But it was Ishant Sharma who played a vital role by giving  away 30 runs  in the 48th ove and turned the tide in Australia’s favour. Dhoni showed embarrassment towards his non-performing bowelers by saying-
International cricketers need not be "spoonfed" and they should bowl at their strengths and not bleed runs.
His pacers have been suffering in the three matches so far in the ODI series.
The firy innings by James Faulkner (64 not out; 29 balls, 2x4, 6x6) smacked Indian team completely and clinched their second victory. He played his vital innings at the time when Aussies were sliding to disappointment.  Voges (an unbeaten 76 off 88 balls) also played the supporting innings in perfection. Faulkner hit four sixes as India sinked to defeat from a healthy position.
Man of the Match Faulkner overshadowed the  stunning display of  Dhoni who bailed out India by hitting his ninth ODI century, the first by an Indian at the PCA stadium. Dhoni’s fabulous display saved India from the danger point (76/4 ) to 303/9 at the end of their 50 overs.
Mitchell Johnson, who bagged four wickets, crashed the Indian top and middle order the Indian top and middle order by some  penetrative short-pitched bowling. With a cyclonic speed at at 150 kmph, he picked up the wickets of Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh and Ravindra Jadeja.

"I think the last few overs were disappointing, it is an area of concern and it is getting worse. There was a bit of dew but not like in the last game. The individuals will have to step up, they have to come up with their plans and back their strength," - Dhoni, after losing the third ODI by four wickets, blsted!
At the end of the day Ishant's performance was the vilain to sink the hope of the Indian team- it was a shame!
