On Day two of the first Ashes Test on Friday, Australia took firm grip on England's batting by clinching six wickets only for nine runs in a stunning mid-afternoon spell.
England, the tourist, lost their last eight wickets just for 81. Fast bowler Mitchell Johnson picked up four for 61. It was the most despairing day for England in an Ashes Test since they lost 47 for nine in their second innings total of 150 in the 1990 Melbourne Test.
Stuart Broad shined with his all-round performance of 32 off 45 balls after taking six for 81 in Australia's first innings.
